As the Senior Manager of UX, I wanted to improve, clarify, and ultimately define what what process suited Zoosk best.
There is ample information out there which varies in degrees, but simply following one over the other will not always apply.
Instead, I aligned our company business goals with the capabilities of the teams I work with to achieve maximum impact.
This process was developed by taking all the best parts of everything I read, and experienced to provide clear guidance for my product designers and product managers.
Starting with paper, refining with slides to present the structure of the ideas, and finalizing with high fidelity infographics. (My previous life as a graphic designer comes in handy!)
